Description
This 2.5–3 hour guided llama trek offers a hands-on, nature-immersive experience that’s perfect for just your crew. Whether you are an animal lover or just looking for an extraordinary way to exprerience Montana's outdoors, this is a memorable and delightful experience. Walk through the wilderness on a Montana ranch with a llama by your side. Located just south of Columbia Falls, MT, only 30 minutes from Glacier National Park this private 500 acre ranch boasts an incredible opportunity to interact with llamas, capture incredible photos and make lasting memories.
Begin with a crash course in llama know-how. Learn how to pack and saddle these gentle, sure-footed animals, then take the lead on an easy-to-moderate 2–3 mile trek through open hillsides, shady woods, and scenic meadows. The pace is relaxed, with plenty of stops for stories, questions, and wildlife clues—tracks, scat, antlers, or the hush of a turtle slipping into a pond.
You might pass a centuries-old tree, spot signs of bears or elk, or discover a long-abandoned frontier cabin. Throughout the journey, your guide shares insights into local flora, fauna, and the ranch’s conservation work. Groups are small to keep the experience personal, and depending on size, you may take turns leading your llama.
End your trek with a relaxing break at a scenic overlook. Enjoy a light snack while your llama grazes beside you. It’s peaceful, hands-on, and deeply Montana—perfect for anyone seeking a unique outdoor experience that fits neatly into a half-day.
