Experience ice climbing in the mountains of Montana. Spend a full day in the mountains southwest of Whitefish ascending ice, honing your skills and exploring new places. In this privately guided winter tour, your guide will bring all the gear & know-how to help new climbers and experienced ice junkies safely ascend epic routes.

Serenity Falls offers a gorgeous canyon with a nice 15-20 minute approach before getting to your secluded destination. Enjoy the quiet and calm of Montana winters in this spectacular setting of the Flathead Valley.

You can hone your skills on a ~20 foot waterfall before rappelling down to the main waterfall of the day. Here your guide will help you ascend a ~60 foot waterfall.

This is the most popular ice climbing tour around. It is great for first timers and advanced climbers alike. Further your skills using crampons, ice tools, knots and top-rope climbing techniques

Is ice climbing beginner friendly?
While a challenging sport to master ice climbing can be a very beginner-friendly experience. Your private guide will coach you through everything you need to know, if you feel able you probably are!
Is ice climbing dangerous?
Like any outdoor sport, there are always risks, but the chance of getting injured while ice climbing on this trip is extremely low. Support anchors are extremely solid and you'll have a helmet and all necessary equipment and training to have a fun and safe time.
Where we will be climbing?
Serenity Falls is a premier ice climbing location for full-day excursions and is located about 40 miles from Whitefish. You will be required to caravan behind your guide to the climbing site.
If I have to drive myself to the climbing site, what if I get lost?
Your guide will provide you with plenty of in-person directions to follow along and navigating to the main turnoff point is easily accessible from the main highway. You will have a contact phone number for your guide just in case.
Is is difficult to drive to the climbing site?
The climbing site is easily accessible from the main highway and it's recommended to travel in an all-wheel drive vehicle and to be prepared for winter driving conditions.

Know Before You Book

Minimum Age: There is no minimum age to join this tour
All technical climbing gear included (boots, crampons, harness, helmet, ice tools)
Participants under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or guardian give consent.
A full refund will be provided if proper winter conditions are not present
You are required to provide your own transportation to both meeting point & climbing location.
Your tour costs are refundable if canceled 24 hours before the tour departure. If booking using the Book Now, Pay Later option, the 5% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
