Description
Take part in a leisurely paddle around Somers Bay and the chain of Juniper Islands in Flathead Lake. Set out directly from the Somer Bay boat launch where you can paddle through the historic pier from the early 1900s when the Somers Lumber Company played a significant role in the Flathead Valley's history.
Somers Bay is well protected from heavy winds and is usually a calmer and quieter part of Flathead Lake, perfect for beginners or younger paddlers. The bay is also a great choice for experienced kayakers who prefer a more laid-back and relaxing itinerary with great views. All the necessary equipment will be provided so you can relax and enjoy the paddle.
This tour is ideal for nature lovers as you may see bald eagles, osprey, and other native birds that live on the islands. On a warm day, you can stop for a swim and jump in the lake for extra fun.
