Description
Start your morning with a calm, private drift down the Flathead River while enjoying a locally sourced and thoughtfully prepared brunch. Beginning near Kalispell, this morning brunch float features a beautiful handcrafted wooden drift boat built for comfort and close-up river viewing.
Once afloat, the river becomes your dining space filled with excellent views and front row seats to spot local wildlife. The guided trip lasts about 3 - 4 hours, and along the way your guide points out eagle nests or osprey hunting dives while telling local history and stories of the Flathead Valley. Binoculars, wildlife ID cards, and Pendleton blankets are provided so you can stay warm and scan the banks without missing a thing.
Midway through the float, we pause in a sheltered bend to set up a rustic brunch spread served right on the boat — flaky pastries, seasonal fruit, local specialties inspired by the valley, plus hot coffee, fresh-squeezed juices, and bottled water. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages; the crew supplies ice, glassware, and corkscrews. Brunch is relaxed and unhurried, giving you time to savor the scenery, chat with your guide, and perhaps catch another wildlife sighting while you eat.
After brunch, you’ll continue drifting downstream, enjoying softer afternoon light on the water and a final stretch of river scenery. The guide times the route so you relax downriver and arrive back at the take-out with plenty of your day left to enjoy. A short shuttle returns you to the meeting point to collect your vehicle and you'll be off to your next adventure.
This private, small-group experience (up to six per boat) is perfect for couples, families, or friends seeking a peaceful morning on the river with excellent wildlife viewing and a delicious, locally inspired brunch.
