Two Medicine Lake Scenic Boat Tour in Glacier Park
Description
Trade the crowds for calm waters and quiet moments that can only be found in Glacier National Park. If you're looking for a relaxing yet engaging way to experience the park, then you'll be sure to enjoy a peaceful ride across the glassy waters of Two Medicine Lake.
Step aboard the charming Sinopah, a wooden boat steeped in history and surrounded by some of the best alpine beauty found in Glacier National Park. Located within the Two Medicine Valley within the southern regions of the park, this peaceful 45-minute boat tour invites you to experience one of Glacier’s most tranquil destinations—where rugged peaks like Sinopah Mountain and Rising Wolf rise dramatically from the water’s edge.
The Two Medicine Valley also often sees less visitation than other regions of the park, such as Many Glacier or Going-to-the-Sun Road, making it the perfect destination for those looking to escape some of the summer crowds.
Choose a round-trip cruise for a relaxing scenic journey, or if you're feeling more adventurous, opt for a one-way ride and begin your hiking adventure from the far shore. Starting July 1, the 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM tours include a complimentary guided hike to nearby Twin Falls. This easy, family-friendly trail is 2 miles round-trip and has no elevation gain, making it ideal for all ages. These hikes are completely optional, and you are not required to participate even if you book a time slot that offers the hike.
With its mix of history, natural beauty, and flexibility, the Two Medicine boat tour is more than a ride—it’s an immersion into the magic of Montana’s high country. Spots fill quickly in peak season, so advance reservations are highly recommended.
Whether you stay aboard for the full loop or set out for the trails, this experience delivers the calm and quiet that every visitor to Glacier National Park is seeking. Escape the bustle, hear the wind ripple across the lake, and reconnect with Glacier’s peaceful side.
