Fat tire electric bikes in Glacier National Park is one of the best possible ways to explore this renowned place. Bike the famed Going-to-the-sun Road during the "Hiker/Biker" season or get away from the crowds as you ride along the inside North Fork road off-the-beaten-path.

Eliminate air pollution while you reach higher heights feel the breeze on your face and embrace the silence. Plus, you can conveniently pick up these e-bikes right from Apgar Village inside West Glacier, eliminating the need for a shuttle or bike rack if you choose to ride from here.

High-quality E-bikes provide you with hours of comfortable fun. Front suspension and battery system means these aren't your ordinary electric bikes.

You can ride Goint-to-the-sun road on your electric bike (observe biking rules & current road status) , explore around your campground or get off the beaten path on dirt roads and mixed use trails. A couple of our favorites are riding from Fish Creek on the Inside Road towards Polebridge.

If you want to catch the shuttle or take the bikes up to Avalanche Lake trailhead while that section of road is open that an amazing option as well! You can also rent bike racks or bike trailers if needed. We also have foldable bikes that can fit in the back of an SUV or some sedans as well.

Bike Specifications

This powerful fat tire e-bike has 5 Pedal Assist modes and Throttle. It utilizes a 1500 Watt Peak electric hub motor that will get you moving to speeds up to 28 MPH

Each bike includes one battery which can give you a total distance of 15-25 miles before recharging depending on how much pedal assist you use.

What's Not Included

  • Bike transportation. You are responsible for bike pickup. Bike rack rentals available.
  • Vehicle Reservation Pass - You do NOT need a vehicle reservation to get to Apgar in 2024 nor is a Going-to-the-Sun Road vehicle pass included in this rental if you're looking to drive beyond Apgar. That may be reserved at recreation.gov

  • Eddie's Cafe in Apgar - Google Maps You do NOT need a vehicle reservation to get into Apgar and pickup your eBike. Please note rour voucher WILL NOT serve as a Going-to-the-Sun Road vehicle reservation to drive your vehicle on Going-to-the-Sun Road beyond Apgar campground.

The default pickup location will be at Eddie's Cafe in Apgar West Glacier. Please reply to your confirmation email if you prefer to pickup your ebike in Kalispell

Full Day Rentals vs. Half-Day and 2-Hour

During "Hiker Biker Season" April-June before GTTS Road is open to vehicles, we will only be offering full day rentals. After Hiker Biker Season, we will begin offering Half-day and 2-Hour rentals at lower prices.

Can I ride these electric bikes off-road?
Yes! These durable bikes are unlike most others you'd rent near Glacier National Park. They have fat tires and front suspension and they can be ridden on dirt roads and single track, mixed use trails as well.
Can I bike on hiking trails in Glacier National Park?
Generally speaking, no. However, there are many great dirt roads to ride as well as mixed use trails in Glacier National Park. Further, you can enjoy world-class mountain biking around Whitefish and Kalispell too. Checkout FAMB for more information.
Why are ebike rentals in Glacier so expensive?
There are many extra fees incurred when doing business inside a national park. Our prices include all of these additional taxes and fees in the price you see online. No hidden surprises later.
Do I need a ticketed entry pass to ride my bike into Glacier?
No, you do not need a ticketed entry pass to RIDE into Glacier. Note that you will need to pay a fee for entrance by bicycle if you don't have a Park pass. PLEASE NOTE - If you are renting bikes from us with an Apgar pickup, your vouchers will serve as a vehicle reservation pass to get into the Park and into Apgar for the day of the rental.
When can I bike up Going-to-the-sun road?
Biking on Going-to-the-sun road typically begins in April. As the snow machines clear the road higher and higher each week you can ride further and further with zero vehicle traffic until June! Once peak season starts (June 15th to Labor Day) there are some restrictions on bicycling from 11AM to 4PM. Get the full GNP Biking low-down HERE
