Voluntary Fishing Restrictions - July 2024

Beginning in July 2024 voluntary fishing restrictions have been implemented by Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks. It is common for FWP to implement “hoot owl” fishing restrictions in sections of rivers across the state every summer. Hoot owl restrictions prohibit fishing between 2 p.m. and midnight until conditions improve. If conditions deteriorate further, full fishing closures could be implemented.

Absolutely, you are more than welcome to bring your own gear or try out any of the quality gear available from your guide.

Where do I purchase a fishing license?
