Experience ice climbing in the mountains of Montana. Spend a full day in the mountains southwest of Whitefish ascending ice, honing your skills and exploring new places. In this privately guided winter tour, your guide will bring all the gear & know-how to help new climbers and experienced ice junkies safely ascend epic routes.

Serenity Falls offers a gorgeous canyon with a nice 15-20 minute approach before getting to your secluded destination. Enjoy the quiet and calm of Montana winters in this spectacular setting of the Flathead Valley.

You can hone your skills on a ~20 foot waterfall before rappelling down to the main waterfall of the day. Here your guide will help you ascend a ~60 foot waterfall.

This is the most popular ice climbing tour around. It is great for first timers and advanced climbers alike. Further your skills using crampons, ice tools, knots and top-rope climbing techniques

Like any outdoor sport there are always risks, but the chance of getting injured ice climbing on tour is extremely low. Anchors are extremely solid and you'll get a helmet and needed equipment and training to have a wonderful and safe time.
Is Montana a good place for ice climbing?
Montana has some fantastic ice climbing. Hyalite Canyon is one of the premier ice climbing destinations in the United States and there are fantastic options around Glacier National Park as well.
Do I need to have climbed before to do this tour?
We offer ice climbing for newbies to advanced climbers looking to learn the local routes. Perhpas you have some experience and want to improve on steep ice and mixed climbing.We’re here to take you wherever your Montana ice climbing aspirations may lie. We do recommend the full-day tour for first-timers so we can take you to the ideal climbing area and have the time needed to teach key skills.
