This experience is perfect for couples, solo travelers, and groups who wish to enjoy Glacier independently while still having the camaraderie of a small group. In the early season, shuttles drop off at the Lake McDonald Lodge, and once accessible, the drop-off point will move to the Avalanche Lake Trailhead.

Your rental includes all essential gear—e-bike and helmet—along with transportation logistics, so you can focus entirely on the breathtaking views and potential wildlife sightings.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the ride?

Most trips average between 15 and 30 miles. The full length and mileage of this activity are dependent on seasonal e-bike access along Going-to-the-Sun Road. Early season trips will begin at the Lake McDonald Lodge and cycle the lower sections of the road. Later-season tours will begin from the Avalanche Lake road closure and will have access to higher regions of the park.

Where is the meeting point?

Final meeting address and instructions will be provided in your confirmation email. The meeting point is located in East Columbia Falls near the intersection of MT 206 & US HWY 2 E.

How challenging is the ride?

While an e-bike does make the experience beginner-friendly, you must be able to confidently manage the e-bike and cycle between 15 and 30 miles.

What should I bring?

We recommend you bring closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate layers, a water bottle, sunglasses and sun protection, and a small backpack for lunch or personal items. Bikes and helmets are included.

Is the trip kid-friendly?

All participants must be at least 16 years old in order to ride an e-bike. This activity is best suited for those who are comfortable riding without a guide and on an e-bike for an extended period.

Is lunch included?

No, lunch is not included. Please be prepared to bring your own food and water.

This is a self-guided experience and does not include a guided tour. Participants will be dropped off along Going-to-the-Sun Road and allowed to ride on their own.
Biking access along Going-to-the-Sun Road changes frequently between April - June. Early season rides should expect more limited cycling access.
Most rides average between 15 - 30 miles depending on road access.
Early season shuttles will drop-off at the Lake McDonald Lodge. Once accessible for the season, later season shuttles will drop-off at Avalanche Lake Trailhead.
