Important Tour Information

Kayak Pickup & Transportation - Each kayak rental is available for pickup in East Glacier Park and you are required to provide adequate transportation for each kayak. Kayaks will fit in the bed of a truck or we can help you strap them to the roof of your vehicle with pads.
Delivery - You may request a drop-off and pick-up service for boat transportation to areas in the east side of Glacier National Park, within close proximity of East Glacier Park Village (separate fees apply, contact us for details).
Invasive Species Watercraft Inspection - All watercraft going into Montana waters are required to complete a watercraft invasive species inspection for $10. This fee will be included on your invoice and the inspection will be completed prior to your arrival.
Blackfeet Recreation Permit - This tour is within the Blackfeet Nation but is not within Glacier National Park. However, the surrounding region and neighboring areas are equally scenic and culturally significant. A $20 Blackfeet Recreation Permit is required and can be purchased online here.

How long is a "full-day" kayak or stand up paddle board rental?

Full-day rentals are 8-hours long while a half-day rental is 4-hours long. Kayaks and stand-up-paddle boards must be back before 5PM.

Here are some of the best places to go kayaking near East Glacier: 1) Lower Two Medicine Lake: This stunning lake is located on the border of Glacier National Park and is perfect for kayaking. The lake is surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and is a popular spot for paddling, camping, and hiking. It was fewer crowds than Two Medicine Lake and does not require a Park Entry Ticket or Vehicle Reservation 2) St. Mary Lake: Another beautiful lake located in Glacier National Park, St. Mary Lake is a great place to explore by kayak. What is the Blackfeet Recreation Permit and where it it required?

This permit is required for any recreating (i.e. hiking, biking, paddling, etc.) around East Glacier, Lower St. Mary's or other lands that are a part of the Blackfeet Lands, outside of the Glacier Park boundary to the east of Glacier Park. A $20 permit provides access for 1 full year and may be purchased at https://blackfeet.nagfa.net/online/

What is the inspection fee?

Before launching any watercraft within Glacier National Park, it is mandatory to undergo an inspection for aquatic invasive species (AIS) near the boat put in. The purpose of this inspection is to prevent the spread of these harmful non-native species, which can cause significant damage to the native aquatic ecosystems. These inspections help preserve the natural beauty and ecological balance of the park so visitors can fully enjoy their time on the pristine waters of Glacier National Park.

Your tour costs are refundable if canceled 24 hours before the tour departure. If booking using the Book Now, Pay Later option, the 5% deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
