Will we see any wildlife in Glacier National Park?
Wildlife viewings in Glacier National Park are not uncommon, but there is no gurantee and sightings are not as frequent as in parks likes Yellowstone. If you're lucky you may spot bighorn sheep, mountains goats, moose, or a bear!
Is Going-to-the-Sun Road open in the winter?
Paritally. Going-to-the-Sun Road is typically open to full vehicle traffic from late June through early/mid October. Glacier National Park is still open in the winter and the scenic road is kept open year-round and plowed to the Lake McDonald Lodge from the West Glacier Entrance. Hiker/biker and ski access varies throughout the seasons but is available beyond most vehicle closures parkwide.
