Is Going-to-the-Sun Road open in the winter?
Partially. Going-to-the-Sun Road is typically open to full vehicle traffic from late June through early/mid October. Glacier National Park is still open in the winter and the scenic road is plowed year-round to Lake McDonald Lodge from the West Glacier Entrance. Hiker, biker, and ski access is available beyond most vehicle closures throughout the seasons.
