Half-Day East Glacier & Going-to-the-Sun Road Tour
Description
Discover Glacier National Park like never before on this half-day journey along the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road. Led by local Blackfeet guides, you’ll uncover stories rooted in tradition, family, and nature—all from the comfort of an air-conditioned bus with breathtaking mountain views at every turn.
This immersive 4-hour tour takes you deep into the heart of Glacier National Park, following the eastern stretch of Going-to-the-Sun Road up to the majestic heights of Logan Pass. With a 9:30 AM departure from the St. Mary Visitor Center, your morning begins with crisp mountain air and front-row views of alpine splendor.
Relax in comfort as your local guide shares stories of heritage, land, and wildlife that bring the stunning landscape to life. As you ascend, St. Mary Lake will stretch out to your right, and you’ll encounter several photo stops at scenic overlooks, including Sun Point, Jackson Glacier, and Wild Goose Island—each providing a unique perspective on this iconic terrain.
Your journey culminates at Logan Pass, the crown jewel of the Continental Divide, where you’ll step out onto the boardwalk and feel as if you’re on top of the world. During early summer, when snowpack may limit road access, the tour will adjust accordingly but will always deliver stunning beauty and valuable insights.
This tour is perfect for guests looking for a shorter adventure that still encompasses major views, cultural depth, and local expertise. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, you’ll leave with a deeper connection to Glacier's eastern frontier.
