Description

There's some truly magical about Glacier National Park at dusk— fewer crowds, cooler air, and an alpine landscape bathed in warm, golden hues.

Set out on an unforgettable afternoon hike to Hidden Lake Overlook in Glacier National Park as golden light bathes the alpine meadows for a spectacular evening experience. Led by an expert Outdoor Education Specialist, this 3-mile round-trip trek offers breathtaking scenery, fascinating ecological insights, and the chance to spot wildlife in their natural habitat.

The adventure begins with a scenic drive along the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road, where you’ll learn a deeper understanding of the park’s dramatic landscapes. Your guide will introduce you to the region’s geology, fire ecology, and the delicate balance of its high-altitude ecosystems.

Upon arriving at Logan Pass, you'll step onto a well-maintained boardwalk trail, winding through fields of wildflowers and past towering peaks. Keep your eyes peeled—mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and even the occasional grizzly bear can be seen roaming these pristine alpine meadows.

As you gradually ascend toward the overlook, the grandeur of Hidden Lake unfolds before you. The still waters reflect the surrounding peaks with the crowning jewel of Bearhat Mountain creating a spectacular backdrop and a picture-perfect scene bathed in the warm hues of sunset. Here, your guide will discuss the importance of environmental stewardship and bear safety, ensuring you leave with a greater appreciation for this extraordinary wilderness.
