Do I need a Going-to-the-Sun Road Vehicle Reservation?
You do NOT need a Going-to-the-Sun Road Vehicle Reservation for this tour, however, you do need a Glacier National Park Entry Pass.
Do I need a Glacier National Park Entry Pass?
Yes, every group will need a Glacier National Park Entry Pass. You can purchase your pass online at recreation.gov. We recommend purchasing a single 7-day Private Vehicle Pass (1 per group), this pass may also be used for entry with your own vehicle or car rental. America the Beautiful Passes are also accepted.
Will we see all of Going-to-the-Sun Road?
This tour includes a partial section of Going-to-the-Sun Road between West Glacier and Logan Pass. Most trips will spend the majority of their time in Logan Pass, but may include additional stops after the hike. This itinerary does not include St. Mary or the eastern portion of Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Is hiking required on this tour?
This tour involves an easy-to-moderate hike to the Hidden Lake Overlook from the Logan Pass Visitor Center. The hike is about 3.5 miles round-trip, and all participants must be able to hike this distance as part of the tour. All groups must stay together, and hiking is not optional.
What if I'm unable to complete the hike?
Safety is our number one priority. While we offer hikes with varying difficulties, we can not guarantee all participants in your group will have equal hiking ability. Your group's pace and distance traveled will be set by the staff leading your trip to ensure no one is left behind, and we complete the hike together.
How difficult is the hike to Hidden Lake Overlook?
The hike to Hidden Lake Overlook is considered easy up to 3.5 miles roundtrip and roughly 550 ft. elevation gain.
